Huckabee Says Iran’s Longer-Range Missiles Can Now Reach Major European Capitals

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee claims Iran has extended the range of its ballistic missiles from 2,000 to 4,100 kilometers in under a year, saying they could now hit cities such as London, Berlin and Brussels from Tehran.

Iran’s missile capabilities are again under scrutiny after a pointed warning from a senior U.S. diplomat.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said that between the summer of 2025 and the spring of 2026, Iran increased the range of its ballistic missiles from 2,000 kilometers to 4,100 kilometers. He argued that such a range would allow launches from Tehran to reach “pretty much all of Europe,” including London, Berlin and Brussels. This report does not independently verify those figures.

Huckabee’s comments link specific numbers to a much wider security concern. A 2,000-kilometer missile places much of the Middle East and parts of southeastern Europe within potential reach. If Iran can reliably deploy a 4,100-kilometer system, the theoretical coverage would extend across almost all of continental Europe and the United Kingdom.

In separate remarks on opposition to war with Iran, Huckabee framed what he sees inside the United States in religious terms. He described this opposition as “spiritual darkness, spiritual blindness” and said “Satan has blinded the minds of those and has captured their thinking,” arguing that something deeper than obvious geopolitical issues is at work.

He also criticized what he described as American complacency. Huckabee said many people in the United States live “in a world of naïveté and in a world that is so many thousands of miles removed and thinking they’re no threat to me.” He added that “we lulled ourselves to sleep and we got caught.”

For European governments, if Huckabee’s range figures prove accurate, the assessment would bring Iran’s missile reach into their core security calculations. The notion that a single class of Iranian missile could cover both nearby states and distant European cities concentrates attention on missile defense planning, sanctions debates and diplomatic channels.

His warning also feeds into wider questions about weapons proliferation. If Iran’s delivery systems are advancing, and international concern over its nuclear and regional activities remains high, strategists must weigh both how quickly Iran can produce certain technologies and how far those technologies could travel.

Inside the United States, Huckabee’s language reflects a current in politics that views confrontation with Iran in strongly spiritual and civilizational terms rather than solely as a dispute over specific programs or regional policies. Such framing can harden positions and make compromise efforts harder to sell.

What happens next will depend partly on how other actors respond. European defense officials may face pressure to address Huckabee’s claim, whether by confirming, qualifying or challenging it based on their own information. Any new Iranian tests of medium- or long-range missiles will be analyzed for evidence of extended reach. In Washington, statements from legislators and political figures about Iran’s missile capabilities will indicate whether Huckabee’s stark warning remains a personal view or shapes a broader debate.
