At least 43 civilians have been killed and 407 injured over 72 hours in Russian and Ukrainian attacks, according to figures compiled from regional officials cited by monitoring group CIT_shellings.
New casualty figures from recent Russian and Ukrainian strikes show how long-range attacks on infrastructure and cities continue to hit civilians on both sides of the front.
According to numbers published by CIT_shellings, citing Russian and Ukrainian regional official reports, at least 43 civilians were killed and 407 others injured in Russian and Ukrainian attacks over the last 72 hours. Russian strikes killed 32 civilians and injured 250 others. Ukrainian strikes killed 11 civilians and injured 157 others. These figures reflect deaths and injuries recorded by regional authorities.
They sit alongside specific reports from recent days. In Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, regional authorities said a drone attack damaged an infrastructure facility, caused a fire and, based on preliminary information, left one person injured. In Kyiv, local reporting described repeated hits linked to a large Russian drone raid: a petrol station struck in the Darnytskyi district, another gas station in the southern part of the city hit by a Russian Geran‑4 jet drone, and an impact in the Solomianskyi district on non-residential buildings. Authorities warned of a drone threat over Kyiv and several other regions.
Ukraine’s air defenses have been heavily engaged. The country’s General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces downed or suppressed 187 of 200 Russian drones launched overnight, including Shaheds, jet‑powered Shaheds, Gerbera drones and Parodiya decoys. Even with most drones intercepted, hits were recorded at seven locations, and debris from downed drones fell on three more.
Russia has also reported large-scale attempts by Ukraine to strike deep into its territory. The Russian Defense Ministry said its air defenses shot down 222 Ukrainian UAVs over the country overnight. Taganrog was among the targets of that attack, with preliminary reports pointing to a Ukrainian missile strike on the Beriev Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex and damage to an Ozon warehouse, according to the regional governor.
