Overnight into 15 August, Ukrainian forces launched missiles at an industrial facility in Samara, deep inside Russia, in an attack that Kyiv-linked channels described as a strike on defence plants tied to missile and space production. Hours later, the governor of Russia’s Samara region confirmed that a Ukrainian missile strike had hit a missile production facility in the region.
