Saudi and U.S. Patriot Stocks Run Low, Exposing Missile Defense Vulnerability

Saudi Arabia and the United States have burned through most of their Patriot missile interceptors in months of high-intensity combat, leaving both with sharply reduced stockpiles. The war has forced a re-think of how modern defenses are layered. But building that kind of depth takes time and money, and until it is in place, gaps in protection will be filled not by technology but by risk tolerance. Missile defense is revealing itself not just as a technical system, but as a supply-chain problem and a political choice.
