**Deck**: Russian Geran‑4/5 jet drones struck Kyiv’s Southern bridge, logistics sites and four commercial vessels around Ukraine as part of a 157‑drone overnight attack, Ukrainian reports say.

Russian long‑range drones hit key Ukrainian infrastructure on 3 October, damaging a major bridge in Kyiv and striking commercial shipping linked to the country’s trade routes.

Footage from the capital shows at least five Russian Geran‑4/5 jet‑drone impacts on the Southern bridge across the Dnieper River in Kyiv. Ukrainian reports also cite strikes on two warehouse complexes, a logistics centre and a railway depot in the city.

At sea and near ports, Ukrainian sources say Geran‑4 jet‑drones hit four commercial vessels. Two were struck in the western Black Sea, one at Chornomorsk port in Odesa Oblast, and one in the Buh River estuary. The ship in the estuary had not moved since 2022.

These attacks came during a much larger overnight barrage. Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Russia launched 157 unmanned aerial vehicles, including 45 jet‑powered Shaheds as well as Gerbera and Parodiya drones. Air defences downed or suppressed 131, but impacts were recorded in 12 locations, debris fell in five more, and several drones were still airborne at 09:00.

For Kyiv residents and businesses, damage to a Dnieper crossing, warehouses and rail facilities threatens daily movement and supply lines. For ship operators and crews, reported strikes in the western Black Sea, at Chornomorsk and in the Buh estuary underline the risk that any vessel linked to Ukrainian routes can be targeted.

The pattern fits recent days of reciprocal strikes on oil, logistics and infrastructure in both Russia and Ukraine as each side looks for ways to weaken the other’s economy as well as frontline forces.

Key developments to watch include assessments of damage to the Southern bridge and Kyiv’s logistics network, any impact on ship traffic to Chornomorsk and nearby ports, and whether Ukraine responds with further attacks on Russian oil and transport facilities.
